Over the last decade or so, the scene in Las Vegas changed immensely. The shift came when the southern end of the strip really took over with new hotels and developments of shopping centers and intriguing nightlife. Particularly, Cosmopolitan, Aria, MGM and Caesar’s. It brought so much tourism to the city, local and international as well. Safe to say that despite the crash of 2008-12, Las Vegas continued to thrive. The landscape of the city was attractive, the nightlife, the clubs were all so loud. Rates for the hotels, restaurants, clubs and other amenities did not seem to bother anyone. Everyone was having a ball!
Rising resort fees, parking fees and more!
I am usually all in for resort fees, why? Because they do offer services and MANY services. People are normally unaware of these services being offered to them. Majority of the people believe that resort fee is only for the WIFI – Lmao. No it isn’t. Every hotel has a policy written in the text below the resort fee. Only if some of us choose to read it.
However, when I first heard about the self parking fees and valet charges, I said to myself well, how much can it be? I am diamond MGM member and I thought well, I should have enough perks to bypass these charges.
Last year, I visited the sin city – I was outraged with the numbers I saw for the parking and valets and rising resort fees. Although, I used my reward perks to bypass plenty of them but yet, still, a normal visitor would have to make an extra budget for these ridiculous fees.
Eventually, the sufferers will ultimately be MGM and Caesar’s entertainment group — Let’s not forget the history of the strip. Once the north ruled the strip (Stratosphere, Circus Circus, Riveira and Sahara). It won’t be too long for a casino giant to come in and open a new lavishly beautiful casino on the north side and take away the southern charm.
If you are off to Vegas this spring – Check out these 2 great offers.
